About GHRPC
A voluntary association of local governments
GHRPC was formed in 1967 by Executive Order of Governor Warren E. Hearnes, under Chapter 251 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri. It is one of nineteen sub-state planning and development agencies serving Missouri: a special purpose political subdivision with limited powers for planning and comprehensive economic development.
It was a nine-county organization until 1992, when Chariton and Carroll Counties were added by Executive Order.
